Polyaspartic is more flexible than epoxy. Polyaspartic won’t chip or scratch and is very durable. Most garage floors are done in about four hours, and you can use your garage the next day.

Straight Epoxy Garage Floor System
Epoxies are temperature-sensitive to apply, especially in our Arizona heat. If you are in a hurry, your garage floor project can take days to install and can take up to a month to cure. Unlike polyaspartic coatings, epoxies don’t harden when they dry and can develop ridges. Epoxy is also less durable and more vulnerable to scrapes and gouges. The photo to the left is what happens to an epoxy floor.
Fake Polyspartic Garage Floor System
Many garage floor contractors claim to have a polyaspartic system, but what they do is use a cheap epoxy or polyurea as a base which compromises the durability of your garage floor coating. Both epoxy and polyurea are not UV stable and will yellow or flake off over time.
Epoxy and Polyurea are Cheap
That’s right — if you are looking for a cheap system, a straight epoxy garage floor is the cheapest system you can purchase. Now the “hybrid systems” where contractors use an inexpensive epoxy or polyurea as a base is better, but still cheap and not as durable as our 100% polyaspartic system.
