At FloorDek, we didn’t get our reputation by using flaky products. Polyurea and epoxies take days to cure, have bonding issues, are not UV resistant (they yellow over time), and are not for those who want a long-lasting garage floor. Polyaspartic garage flooring coatings are more UV resistant and won’t yellow over time such as epoxies. Polyaspartic garage floors can be installed in a single day, with many color options to choose from and the best part is- you can use your garage within four hours!
When it comes to protecting and beautifying your garage floor, Polyaspartic is the superior choice. It offers superior protection against abrasion, chemicals, and extreme temperatures while also being much more convenient to install. Our team of expert installers knows how to successfully install floor coating in a wide range of properties, so no matter the size of the job and are, we can get it done in as little as one day!
Epoxy: Cheap, stinky, takes forever to cure, not UV stable, yellows and flakes, adhesion issues, doesn’t last very long but great for DIY-selfers and again, it’s CHEAP!
Polyaspartic: 4x stronger than epoxy, UV resistance, wont yellow, walkable in hours, done in one day, durable, no hot tire pick-up and it looks sexy!
Polyurea: Dries supper fast, not time to correct installation issues, not UV stable, susceptible to yellowing, fading, flaking, and can develop air bubbles.

% Polyaspartic Installed Every Time

Ask yourself which is the most important to you? The cheapest price or quality and longevity. Epoxy and Polyurea are much cheaper, but they stink to high heaven, yellows, cracks and peels off. But 100% Polyaspartic is done in 1-day, very low to little odor, 4x strong than epoxy and move your stuff back in the next day! IMHO
NO! Epoxy and Polyurea are not UV stable, no matter what you put as a topcoat. Clear Polyaspartic topcoats don’t protect of block UV rays, they will just pass right through and destroy the Epoxy or Polyurea base coats. Using Epoxy and Polyurea is just cheaper, not the same as using 100% Polyaspartic for the base and topcoat.
After you move all your belongs out of the area, our team will come in using a diamond grinder and grind down your floor. We will repair in cracks or imperfections prior to applying the base coat. We apply the Polyaspartic base coat, fully broadcast flake across the surface. Once cured, it is scraped, vacuumed and an additional topcoat of clear Polyaspartic is applied.
We do most projects in 1 day, walkable in 3-4 hours and you can move all your stuff back in the next day.
YES, many contractors will not talk about this. These high-performance cars like Tesla’s, Corvettes, etc. have high-performance tires. These tires have high amounts of Plasticisers. Plasticisers are chemical additives for making plastics or rubbers softer and more flexible. These tires can leave a “coffee-stain” on your new floor where the front tires stop, no matter what the coating is. We recommend tire pads to avoid this issue.
Not recommended! Both epoxy and polyurea are “aromatic” they will yellow and fade overtime. Many times, they will crack and flake off.
Absolutely! Polyaspartic as a base and topcoat will not yellow or fade with exposure to our desert sun and heat. Our coatings can enhance your outdoor living area floors and make them look awesome!
